Bouncy
Castle Repairs
If
you purchase a new Bouncy Castle from us or any other reputable
Company,
then you can expect to have many years of usage from it providing
you
exercise some simple procedures for looking after your inflatable.
All
our Bouncy castle are manufactured according to HSE Standards and
we
use only the finest 18oz flame retardant PVC materials, but as well
as this all
our units are double stitched and 2" braided webbing is added
to
all the bed seams, giving us an edge for durability and strength.
We
recommend that after each use, you should carefully inspect your
bouncer
for any signs of damage, which hopefully should be few and far between,
indeed we have never had a bouncy castle maliciously damaged
in 12 years of hiring.
If any damage has occurred through misuse then the person who has
hired it from you, as long as they have signed your hire agreement
is
responsible for the cost of the repair.
Let
me stress that damage does not occur during correct and proper
use of the Bouncy castle, but by not following correct procedures.
However
occasionally minor tears may happen
through accidental damage, such as the inflatable coming into contact
with a sharp item during movement in and out of gardens or suchlike.
You can help to reduce this kind of damage by using a
carry or protective bag to carry your inflatable in, all new inflatables
sold by Bounce-A-Lot come with one of these.
In
these cases it is very easy to carry out your own repair
if you have a minor repair kit. For any larger rips or tears you
would
need to return the inflatable to us to be properly repaired which
sometimes
involves replacing panels or walls.
We
would also advise that you have your Bouncy Castle tested yearly
by
ourselves, and issued with a current test/safety certificate.
It costs £25 per unit and is well worth doing, as each unit
is throughly
checked for any damage, wear and tear, holds the correct pressure
etc and is safe to use.
After several years, depending on usage your bouncy castle may require
some of the seams to be restitched through general wear and tear.
This is quite normal and your bouncer SHOULD be made to withstand
many repairs if necessary.
Repairs
are not expensive, indeed we charge
around £150 for a full bed stitch on a 12' x 12' castle,
which should last a number of years.
I
have included below full details on how to carry out
